Experiencing nature in VR can help reduce anxiety symptoms

Want the positive effects of nature without having to go outside? You’re in luck.

A new study examined the effects of daily virtual nature experiences on symptoms of anxiety, depression, and rumination. The study examined 40 college students over several weeks, and found that feelings of panic and worry both decreased after daily VR nature exposure. The effect was particularly strong in women, past VR users, and those experienced with the outdoors.
